Please make sure you get the pic Im sending of my son on Captain Jody Hebert JR.'s boat to him if you dont mind. Im sure he wants to show off the fish he put my son on. They both have the bragging rights especially Capt. Jody! He was great! My son had a blast and wont ever forget the time he had. He has caught red fish but none this big. Mr. Jody was pleasant to be around, very knowledgeable, and worked very hard under the weather conditions to get the fish that we did. His boat was very very clean and easy to fish off of. His boat was well equipped and accommodated to every need and not just ours but the others on the boat as well. He even stopped fishing to take the lady to a duck camp of one of his friends so she could take a bathroom break. And thats not an easy task out in the marsh if you are a girl or for the Capt. to find a place for that situation. His tackle was of good quality and Im a fanatic when it comes down to real and rod not wanting to use junk and his was far from that. Really good stuff. He ran a fist class operation and he is an asset to Griffin Charters. Thanks for everything.

Just wanted to let you know what a good time Catchin' we had this past weekend. Your staff was courteous from the time we were picked up in N.O. until we were dropped off. Thank you for going the extra mile for us. David did a great job guiding for us. We got our limit of redfish by ten and could have caught more. I did not see his name listed on the website as a regular guide and wanted to know if I could have his email address as he said he would post pictures from the trip. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

Just wanted to say thanks for a great fishing experience at your facility. We were on vacation for 10 days and when my wife asked yesterday what the best part of it was I had to say it was the fishing charter that Rob and I took with you. Of all the excursions we took while on vacation this was the smoothest experience we had from confirming the reservation ahead of time to the hotel pick up to going the extra mile to keep and deliver our fish a week later. Although we didn't catch as much as we would have liked that's the way it goes sometimes and Casey worked hard to put us in the right places so we couldn't ask for anything more.
I'll happily recommend Griffin to anyone looking for a professional organization in the area to charter with.
BTW the fish you froze made it still solid as a brick all the way home to CA.

We wanted to tell you again, thank you for another perfect fishing (catchin) trip! You sure know how to make guest feel like part of the family from the time of arrival until departing. Facilities are cute, clean, and comfortable. Food is awesome. Guides are the best. We have fished with Captain Jody and Captain Casey. Both were fantastic and VERY persistant in finding the fish.

Well, the boys from Alabama would like to say thanks again for the perfect "catching" trip again. We've been returning for years and each time we request Nick as our guide. We will be returning and will be again requesting Nick, due to his attitude, kindness and most important the ability to put us on fish each and every time. Nick is trully a professional person and guide but he just loves hearing that sound of braided line cutting thru the water.

Just wanted to take a minute and say thanks ya'll for last week. Incredible! That is the best word we can think of to describe the time we had at "Da Camp" From the moment we pulled in and saw our name on the welcome board until we drove out out to come home it was "Incredible". This was our first experience with a fishing trip of this kind and we had a total blast (not to mention caught really big fish). You guys are great. The accommodations were clean and the camp is so tidy and just absolutely perfect. The professionalism of everyone was amazing! We are already planning our next trip. Raymond, Belinda, Captain Casey, Carla and the rest of the crew, it was nice to meet people that still believe in taking care of their customers!! Thank you Casey for going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we caught fish and thank you Carla for also going above and beyond to hang around to make us a wonderful dinner for only the two of us! Thanks for a fabulous time!!

Recent Louisiana fishing trip was great. So much to share with you about what the media did not report about the Katrina and BP disasters; politics, embarrassment and shame. The people in this region are hurt, yet strongly continue with undying resolve, an example for everyone. "Tough times don't last, tough people do". It is my hope that some day the world will understand how important this region and it's resources are to the entire country, from fishing to natural gas to agriculture, not to mention the birth of blues, jazz, modern regional art, culinary fusion before it was even a concept, and good old fashioned hospitality. Plan a trip, you will not be disappointed.

We wanted to let you know what a GREAT time we had Easter (2011) weekend. You have the perfect set up for fishing (catchen’), sleeping and some of the best eating anywhere around. From the time we got there until we left we were treated like family. We hadn’t been there 30 minutes and was offered some of the best seafood gumbo ever! Catchen’ with Casey was so much fun and you aren’t kidding when you say he knows where to find the fish! We look forward to future visits with you. I just wanted to thank Captain Brock and Griffin Fishing Charters for a wonderful day of fishing on April 21st, 2011 for my wife and I. The service was top-notch with un-matched expertise and first class equipment. On coming down to Louisiana we were very nervous for several reasons. The oil spill, the weather, lack of knowledge of the area. Most important, we flew down with our 1-year old son and needed somebody to take care of him while we were out. We really appreciate you accomodating us, I think our son had as much fun at the lodge as we did on the water! It was very cool that you sent some video of our son while we were out fishing, it ensured a day without worry!
The weather forecast looked very challenging for us. It had been windy for weeks leading up to our day, and 20mph+ winds was forecast all day, which is great to keep the bugs away, but tough for the fishing. My wife doesn't like to go fishing unless it's a guided saltwater trip and only fishes once a year and so I was worried that she would have a tough time. I'm glad to see my worry was unfounded. Captain Brock not only managed to keep us on fish, all day long, but made sure my wife did the catchen. A lot of catchen. So many fish compared to me that it kind of hurt my ego.
In all, we took home 9 legal Black Drum, 3 Redfish, 1 Sheephead, 1 Trout and 1 Flounder. We released a slew of catfish, small drum & redfish and 1 croaker fish. As a bonus, we landed and released a 4 foot long Alligator Gar… this was an absolute blast that my arms are still recovering from. It is amazing to see these ancient creatures up close. And it was also neat to watch her swim away for another day. My wife caught 9 of the keepers, I got six. Not bad for a windy day.
Thanks again for your great service. We would definitely recommend your guide service to any couples looking to try something new for an adventure vacation. You made all of us, our son included, feel at home. The waters we fished were fantastic. We observed no oil and were fishing over 20 miles from the camp. The scenery in the swamps is absolutely spectacular and really made for a great day. Keep up the great work.

Hi Dea, sorry to take so long to say THANKS for a wonderful fishing trip back in March. I got back and immediately went to work planning our next trip out with all of you. My daughter and her boyfriend are now hooked on fishing.
Everything about the trip was great fun and our guide Brock was a delight to fish with. The food was scrumptious (I don't even like seafood gumbo but it was absolutely delicious, I ate two bowls). We plan to stay there at the camp with you guys when we come back so we can dig in on some red beans and rice cooked by the same lady that made the seafood gumbo :-)! Looking forward to seeing all of you again this summer.

To everyone there taking care of us with Lennox, I would like to say thank you for a fantastic trip. That was my first experience with salt water fishing and it was excellent! Capt Nick put us on the fish like I have never seen. I have never been on a boat with 4 fish on at the same time before, but for it to happen repeatedly like it did was an absolute blast! I think that Capt Nick is your man for the bull Reds. The accomodations were excellent and the food was too! We never were left wanting for anything. Can't really say enough how great the experience was, especially to someone like myself who isn't well versed in the sport. Everything from the absolute gentlemen you have as guides, to the breakfast, boat ride out to the sweet spot, and the amazing gumbo when we got back. Since our return to Birmingham, I have had every single person within our group of 26 tell me what a good fishing trip and relaxed atmosphere you provided on our company trip. I charter one of your guides this past weekend after having a horrible experiance the weekend before. First let me say the CJ was the perfect guide for us. He told us where to cast how fast to reel and was just a perfect match with our personalities. Second your set up is second to none. I can't thank you enough my boyfriend was about to give up on saltwater fishing and now is already looking at the calander for when we can go again. Everything was just as advertised on your web site; good food (and lots of it!); clean comfortable lodging, good fishing and a really good guide. We fished with Captain CJ and even under what he said were pretty tough conditions for redfish; we still managed to catch a limit. And the hospitality couldn’t be beat I don’t care where you go; not like a lot of the commercial fishing operations we’ve fished with before.

Finally made it home from our spring break and wanted to drop you a note to say what a great time we had fishing with C.J. With the wind and weather we had I was not overly optimistic of our chances of catching much of anything. C.J. worked hard to keep us in clean water all day and the trip was a blast. We have had a couple of dinners of spec fillets and they were great, looking forward to blackened redfish this Friday. We want to thank C.J. for a great day on the water and we are looking forward to sharing a boat with him again. Even my wife who did not fish with us was very impressed with your facility. Thanks Griffin Charters and especially capt. "CJ" for the special fishing trip I had with my son on 7/16/04. The entire staff and owners made every effort to insure my son Austin and I had a great first red fishing trip, captain "CJ" was very supportive and patient with my son while fishing and gave him undivided attention and encouragement the entire time we fished. "CJ" was relintless and determined to make sure we caught our limit of Reds before our trip was done for the day. CJ is truly a great person and guide and I would recommend him to anyone.The accomodations also are great with clean rooms and great meals,the entire experience was very enjoyable.

Just a few pictures of our very memorable fishing adventure. After the dust settled and we were able to take account of our days’ activities, we realized that in less than 4 hours of fishing, Debi and I boated over 350 pounds of fish…WOW!!!...That included 12 monster Redfish and 3 huge Black Drum, not including the two “keepers” in the group photo.
Like I had mentioned to you during our trip back from fishing, Debi and I have fished quite extensively throughout the Gulf Coast and have always had great experiences. However, this experience was by far, the most productive we have ever had. The fishing was great, the weather was outstanding and the experience overall was one that we will never forget.
I commend you and your great ability to maneuver us into the fish, and wish you continued success with any future outings that you undertake.

Just wanted to write and let you know what a wonderful time Joe and I had on our Redfishing excursion during 20-23 Jun. It was money well spent. I guess you are not kidding on your brochures about the "catchin" slogan, because we caught plenty.
C.J. is an awesome guide and he kept us on the reds and out of the weather. He is a total professional not only at fishing but dealing with people. He really made us look like we knew what we were doing. He didn't just take us fishing for reds, he taught us how to spot them and get them in the boat. We did not expect to learn so much on this trip, it was great.
All the staff we were in contact with were considerate, professional and treated us like royalty. It is hard to come back to reality. We would like to send a Great Big Thanks to Gabe and Uncle Bruce for feeding us so well in the evenings, I think I am still full.
